"Kashitsukasa Yokoya" Private Japanese Sweets Workshop
Experience Japan’s seasons and traditional sweets culture alongside artisans at a fourth-generation Japanese sweets shop.

“Kashitsukasa Yokoya” is a fourth-generation Japanese sweets shop located in Yamashiro Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture.
In this workshop, you won’t just make nerikiri (traditional Japanese sweets)—you’ll also learn about the history, ingredients, and tools used in Japanese sweets from the artisans who actually craft them.

Afterward, under the artisan’s guidance, you’ll shape “nerikiri” that embody Japan’s four seasons and nature with your own hands. You’ll create two types of nerikiri tailored to the season, and at the end, you’ll enjoy the wagashi you made yourself alongside matcha.

In addition to being a private, exclusive experience, the artisan leading the session speaks English, so international guests can feel at ease, enjoy communicating with the artisan, and immerse themselves in Japanese wagashi culture.

We have welcomed many international guests in the past, and this experience has been well-received not only for the wagashi themselves but also for the opportunity to learn directly from an artisan, get hands-on, and savor the flavors while experiencing the seasons.

“Learn → Make → Savor”
This wagashi experience allows you to enjoy traditional Japanese culture through all five senses.
